Resident Verification – Frequently Asked Questions
Why do I need to verify my residency?
Verification helps us ensure that Desert Ridge Hub is used by real residents of participating communities. This keeps groups safer, protects privacy, and makes perks more meaningful.
How do I get verified?
There are two primary methods:
-
Geo-Verification
When available, your device checks whether you are physically within a supported community boundary (such as Fireside). This is a one-time check used only for verification. -
Manual Approval
You submit your information via our resident form. Our team reviews and approves based on the information provided.
Do you track my location?
No. For geo-verification, we only check once with your permission whether you are within a valid area. We do not permanently store your raw GPS coordinates after the check.
How long does approval take?
Most approvals are completed within 1–12 hours, depending on volume and whether manual review is needed.
Can I be denied?
Yes, if:
- You appear to be outside the supported community boundaries.
- Your information is incomplete or cannot be verified.
- There is evidence of misuse, fraud, or policy violations.
What happens after I’m approved?
Approved residents may receive:
- Access to the resident dashboard.
- Access to local groups and meetups.
- Resident-only offers and business perks.
- Updates about local events and hub features.
Who manages verification?
Resident verification is managed by DatAdvisors on behalf of Desert Ridge Hub. For questions about your status, email info@desertridgehub.com.
